ONLINE CARD CLASSES: WATERCOLOR FOR CARDMAKERS AI TECHNIQUES AND STAMPS

May 11, 2014

I’m taking the Online Card Classes Watercolor for Cardmakers.   I wasn’t going to take it, but decided I have so much fun with these classes that it was worth the price. I was very intrigued by Kristina Werner’s videos about the stamp sets and techniques from Art Impressions. Kristina saw the AI booth at the winder CHA and was really fascinated by their products. After I watched Kristina’s video, I went online to see what I could find (to buy, of course). I realized I have some of those stamp sets. Sure enough, I sorted through my stash and found several AI stamp sets. I don’t think I’ve used a one of them. So, I started playing with them along with some other stamp sets in my stash that I thought would work with the technique. The card below with the window and the three little evergreen trees is my first attempt at stamping with markers and blending the image to make it look more watercolory. (Not really a word, I know.) The stamp is not AI. It’s from Impression Obsession, and it’s one stamp. (This is the first time I’ve used it.) I colored with Distress markers and used just plain water for the watercolor effect.  The sentiment is an Inky Antics clear set called Holiday Sayings.
