MOTHER’S DAY CARDS FOR 2014

May 9, 2014

Mother’s Day cards in the mail to Mom and Mom-In-Law today.  I am always inspired by Heather’s blog.  She always does such beautiful watercoloring. Plus, I am taking the Online Classes Watercolor for Cardmakers, so I thought I do a bit of watercolor stamping for my Mother’s Day cards this year.  Here they are.  The inks are TH Distress.  Stamp set is an old wood-mounted set from Stampin Up called Pretty Peony.  It’s a stamping 2 step set with solid images and coordinating detailed images.  The vertical Mother’s Day sentiment is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps.  The horizontal sentiment is from Victorine Originals.  Both are old and wood-mounted.  Die cut is Spellbinders Petite Labels One.  The sequins are the 4 mm clear crystal from Pretty Pink Posh.  I really like the smaller size and the clear color.  They go with everything.  Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there – and all the kids celebrating their mothers.

Julie, I think you have mastered the art of water coloring. They are simply gorgeous. I think the recipients will love them. By the way, Happy Birthday. Your card will be in the mail after club tomorrow.

  2. Bobby Says:

Those stamps are perfect for the watercolor technique and you did a wonderful job on the cards. Both recipients will be impressed.
