Summer Card Camp II – Masked Embossing

July 27, 2013

Oh, what  cool technique.  You take Eclipse tape or other sticky-backed but low tack tape and use it to either create a shape on your card (which is what Kristina Werner did on the Summer Card Camp II site) or, as I diddie cut a shape and use the negative space for your embossing.  I die cut a circle and put the negative mask on the black card stock.  Next I stamped Impression Obsession’s Tapestry Cover-a-Card in Versamark, traced the edge of the circle with a Versamark pen to give it some definition and embossed the circle with silver embossing powder.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set called Everyday Sayings.  I will definitely use this technique again and again.  Thanks for looking.
